Are you ready to dive back into the prehistoric, wub-filled world of Lost Lands? The festival has revealed important information that you should check out before the on-sale date!
Few festivals in the North American scene have captivated crowds quite like Lost Lands has. The Excision Presents-hosted festival in Legend Valley has become an annual pilgrimage for many who want to hear the latest and greatest sounds in the bass music scene while dancing with dinosaurs. This year’s edition will mark Lost Lands’ eighth, and much akin to previous years, there are some upgrades in store for an even better experience when it returns on September 19-21.
Last year, venue upgrades included a new tunnel between the campgrounds and festival and the new Crater stage area. Excision and his team have been working hard to keep adding to the festival’s amenities in 2025, and there are many new improvements. The upcoming edition will feature additional experiential and interactive activations in the festival grounds, a dedicated area of the Village Marketplace with healthier food options, a new in-venue dining experience featuring a curated menu, an expanded area for the Crater stage, and additional seating for Wompy Woods VIP, Subsidia stage, Prehistoric stage, and more.
Excision and his team also dropped the news that there will be the return of flames and fireworks this year, along with the drone show that many fell in love with during the ban on pyro last year. There will also be new terrain at the festival grounds to help mitigate dust and improve walkability. The sound will also be improved at Prehistoric and Wompy Woods with new stage designs, more speaker towers in the crowd, and other upgrades.
As for camping, this year brings forth Camp Dino Divas, a new area designated for femme-identifying attendees and one specifically for ADA attendees. The Discovery Center programming will grow with more workshops and activities for specific community groups. Improvements will also be made to the glamping experience, with more add-ons, food vendor gift cards, a dedicated vendor section, complimentary bottled water and coffee, free showers, and more.
Other changes this year include modifications to VIP that will make for a more seamless entry experience, more seating, more food vendors, and more. Popular merch items will have purchase limits in place to ensure that more attendees can grab their favorite artist’s merch. The number of shuttles to and from the South Parking lot will be increased to reduce wait times, while there will be better line control in Lot A parking. Further, the live text line will be expanded this year to allow for issues to be resolved even faster.
