Carl Cox, Anfisa Letyago, Chase & Status, Jamie xx, John Summit, Klangkuenstler, Sammy Virji, and more have been announced on the Movement Detroit 2025 lineup!
The landscape of the festival scene has changed over the years but one experience has held true for lovers of house, techno, and more: Movement Detroit. This multi-day experience in the Motor City has become renowned for providing a place to honor the history of the dance music scene while also giving attendees a glimpse at what the future holds. Movement Detroit will return to Hart Plaza for another round of underground fun on May 24-26 next year, and Paxahau is bringing the heat with the initial lineup that dropped today.
Movement Detroit is staying true to its house and techno roots by bringing some of the brightest stars and legendary artists to the stage at next year’s edition. Carl Cox is an immediate standout at first glance, and he’ll be throwing down a hybrid live set that is sure to rock the city. “Movement is a techno institution in Detroit, so for me, it’s like reuniting with an old friend,” he shared. “I’m going to make up for the years I’ve missed with a show that’s going to send Detroit to another dimension!”
Carl Cox won’t be the only artist returning to Movement Detroit this year, as others like Klangkuenstler, Ela Minus, HiTech, Patrick Topping, Sama’ Abdulhadi, and two techno pioneers from the Motor City, Carl Craig and DJ Minx, will also perform at the upcoming edition. John Summit is also returning to the festival for the third time, and he’s set to close everything out on its final day. “I’ve attended as a fan for years, and the energy and support this city and crowd bring is always special. It’s an honor to be a part of such a legendary event,” the house music phenom shared about his return.
New artists for Movement Detroit range from beloved artists like Jamie xx and Chase & Status to breakout stars like Anfisa Letyago, Sammy Virji, and DJ Gigola. Each of these artists will help make the diverse range of sounds at the festival even greater as they throw down everything from UK Garage and drum and bass to techno and dance-pop.
This is just the start for the Movement Detroit lineup rollout, and if past years are any indication, there are still plenty of surprises and standout artists to be revealed in the coming months.
