London-based techno artist ADRIANNA swung by to chat about her recent singles, reflect on the massive year she’s had, and let us know where she’s heading next!
The UK has been home to many talented artists over the years, and ADRIANNA is one who is beginning to turn some heads. This year saw this fast-rising techno artist drop her sensational single “Wild Electric,” which received official remixes from other standout techno artists like Monika Kruse, 808 State, and Gregor Tresher. Her more recent tunes, “Memory” and “Hallucinations,” further deepened her grip on the techno scene with her dark, driving, atmospheric sound front and center.
Music isn’t all that ADRIANNA was up to in 2024. Her performances at festivals like Creamfields and on the White Isle at Blue Marin Ibiza, along with tours in South America and the rest of Europe, captivated crowds and grew her global appeal. And if that wasn’t enough, ADRIANNA put her acting skills on display with a featured role in the movie Bloodline, which premiered in London earlier this month and is set to debut in India soon.
Before the year comes to a close, ADRIANNA sat down with us to discuss everything from her artistic growth and recent releases to taking the stage at Creamfields and more. Listen to her exclusive guest mix and read on for the full conversation.

Hi, ADRIANNA. Thanks so much for chatting with us today. We’ll dive a bit back in time to start this one off. Do you remember the first time you heard techno?
Thanks for the chat! It would be hard to pinpoint the exact moment. I started going to raves and warehouse parties in my early teens, but it was a real mix of electro and techno and rave sounds.
Who or what drew you to the subterranean sounds of this genre?
We would go in groups to raves on the weekends, and then I was teaching dance at the gym; one of the trainers introduced me to some people in the nightlife, and I got involved with that crowd, working the front door at some different clubs. I made friends with a lot of DJs and producers, and they would share their love of music and insight.
You’ve been on a path of continuous growth and evolution since beginning your career. What have been some of the biggest lessons you’ve learned as an artist rising through the ranks?
I would say not to worry too much about what other people think, worrying is really the killer of joy. It’s about finding the moments of joy and holding onto them. Whether that’s working in the studio or connecting with people on the dancefloor.
Moving to the present, your latest tune, “Hallucinations,” is absolutely hypnotic. Can you walk us through the creation of this one?
Just like the title, I wanted to create something hypnotic. Where the story was told using more than vocals. The rhythms are pumping and sort of propel you forward on a journey. The main synth is a bit eerie; it’s stripped back, but there are layers that create an intriguing mood.
One of your other stunners this year, “Wild Electric,” received remixes from the likes of Gregor Tresher and Monika Kruse. How did it feel to receive such a warm reception for this track and have other artists want to put their spin on it?
That was incredible, a career highlight. It was an honour to have my track remixed by artists I admire so much. I loved what both Gregor and Monika [Kruse] did with it, both totally different takes and it was exciting to hear their versions.
Earlier this year, you took the stage at one of the biggest festivals on the planet, Creamfields. Did you approach this set differently compared to your club shows? What was the preparation like?
Creamfields was awesome. Performing on the Steelyard stage with artists I admire was great. I try to treat every gig like it’s equally important because then I feel like I’ve done myself and the audience justice. I usually play a few current releases from my favourite artists, play some of my own tracks, test some of my new tracks, and add some acapella’s over instrumental-based tracks.
Looking back on your year, was there a specific show that stood out as special to you or one where you felt the most in sync with the crowd?
I always love playing at Groovebox. I’ve been there frequently over the last couple of years, and the people who come to those shows are amazing. But my favourite this year would have to be our first Temple event for the Wild Electric tour. It was in Edinburgh and was a success. I think all the Temple events this year were my favourite because it was cool to see them come alive. We worked really hard, and the artists, audiences, and venues were so cool.
London is known as one of the true hubs for electronic music. What’s your favourite aspect of the scene there? Is there anything you don’t like about the current scene that you wish would change?
London is a great city for music. There is a lot of choice for clubs, events, anything you want. It’s one of those cities where there is always something going on. I would just say more techno.
Finally, since most of 2024 is in the rearview window, what goals do you hope to achieve in 2025? Can we expect more music and shows on the horizon?
For sure, I’ve got some new releases coming up next year on Temple and some other labels that I’m really looking forward to, some remixes and collaborations. We’re putting together our event’s schedule for 2025, and there is lots to look forward to. My biggest goal is just to truly really appreciate and enjoy it all. The journey and the achieving.
