Indira Paganotto, Four Tet, Peggy Gou, and Mochakk are among the first Sónar Festival 2025 headliners announced.
Sónar Festival‘s organizers have set out to uphold the festival’s title as one of Spain’s premiere electronic music institutions. To that end, they’ve shared the first 66 names on the lineup for the 2025 edition, which will return to Fira Montjuïc and Fira Gran Via in Barcelona from June 12-14.
Some of the biggest acts in dance music are billed for the occasion. Longtime UK staple Four Tet, South Korean house and techno stalwart Peggy Gou, and Brazilian tech house act Mochakk are among the more buzzy names on the lineup. Joining them are scene fixtures like Eric Prydz, Helena Hauff, Vintage Culture, and Honey Dijon.
The Sónar Festival 2025 lineup also includes novel pairings, not the least of which is Dutch trance icon Armin van Buuren‘s back-to-back set with Spanish hard techno mainstay Indira Paganotto. This one isn’t quite as surprising given Armin’s recently announced b2b with Joris Voorn at Tomorrowland Winter — but Skrillex b2b Blawan might be, as the former artist’s name is practically a dirty word in the latter’s serious techno circles.
Also billed for the 2025 edition of Sónar Festival are a handful of artists’ special projects. Bicep will deliver a “Chroma AV/DJ” set, Max Cooper is slated for a “Lattice 3D/AV” performance, and Richie Hawtin appears on the bill under his longrunning Plastikman alias.
Sónar was first held in 1994, first billed as the Festival of Advanced Music and Multimedia Art. It now consists of three separate programs: Sónar by Day, Sónar by Night, and the Sónar+D conference.
Tickets to Sónar Festival are on sale now and start at €195. Purchase yours and find additional information on the event website.
