Earlier this month, Beatport opened applications for its 2025 Beatport Next program, which helps emerging dance music artists gain exposure and advance their careers. Now in its fifth year, the initiative has grown steadily, with this year’s cohort consisting of twelve selected artists.
Beatport Next supports music producers by offering extensive resources and opportunities to boost their visibility. The program initially started with six artists, expanded to eight in 2022, and reached twelve in 2024. Participants will receive featured placements on Beatport’s website, inclusion in curated playlists, coverage on Beatportal, and social media support.
Beatport Next artists benefit from multiple promotional avenues as well, such as homepage features, banners for new releases, playlist placements, live streams, and potential brand partnerships. Throughout the twelve-month program, they gain access to Beatport’s network and resources, helping them elevate their presence in the dance music industry.
The success of past participants highlights the program’s impact. For example, the 2022 artists saw a significant 353% increase in their Beatport download revenue and a 213% rise in followers, proving that being part of Beatport Next can transform an artist’s career. Previous participants — including names like Ahadadream, KILIMANJARO, Aida Arko, and Nala — have gone on to become well known figures in dance music. The program is committed to supporting artists from diverse backgrounds, regardless of their musical style or origin.
