A State Of Trance Reveals First Wave of Artists on 2025 Lineup

Aly & Fila, Giuseppe Ottaviani, Ferry Corsten, ARTBAT, Maddix, and more will help ignite minds with Armin van Buuren at A State Of Trance 2025 in Rotterdam.

There’s never a spectacle quite like A State Of Trance’s home event. Year after year, ASOT delivers an experience that welcomes fans to the start of festival season. After taking over the slot of Trance Energy in late February/early March, this festival drops the goodness of trance into the cold winter months as we proudly move out towards Spring. This year is no different, as the event drops into Ahoy Rotterdam on February 21-22, 2025.

If history didn’t provide enough knowledge on what to expect, fear not. During the Amsterdam Dance Event (ADE) special broadcast of the weekly trance radio show, the steady hands of Armin van Buuren dropped the first tidbits of the full lineup. In the information provided by the A State Of Trance team, some interesting new experiences and some tried-and-true legends shape the sonic glory.

The lineup’s first wave is a solid showing for the festival that feels like it kicks off the early moments of the year’s festival scene. The first bombshell – Armin’s now going to jump into a five-hour soundscape for the attendees. Yet if you think this was an Armin Only experience, think again. Armin is calling in some friends to join him in three unique back-to-back experiences: ARTBAT, Ben Hemsley, and Maddix! Expect the unexpected in these sets because the sounds should vary for Armin fans. Fret not, though – Armin will still play a solo set over the weekend, too.

Armin tapped DJs like Laura van Dam and Nifra to bring their trance flair to the party. It’s great to see some female representation right at the first announcement, so we hope this is a sign of greater things to come for better representation in the genre.
