Experience healing through sound with an exclusive screening of East Forest’s feature film, Music For Mushrooms, in theaters across the US on October 10.

In recent years, the psychedelic movement in therapeutic music has captured the attention of many in the wellness community and mainstream society. With a growing number of festivals, workshops, and social events that revolve around these practices, the transformative power of psychedelics has also opened up new avenues of creativity.

If you’ve been following the development of therapeutic music, you’ll be familiar with the ambient musician East Forest. The visionary artist, whose real name is Krishna-Trevor Oswalt, is renowned for his unique blend of neoclassical, electronic, and immersive soundscapes that invites listeners into a profound journey of consciousness and inward exploration of their emotions. Over the last 15 years, the trailblazing artist has been instrumental in shaping the unique subculture that combines music and psychedelics to achieve personal and collective well-being.

To mark World Mental Health Day on October 10, East Forest is set to launch a national screening of his feature-length film Music For Mushrooms in theaters nationwide. The one-night-only event can be viewed in cities including Santa Monica, Portland, San Diego, Washington DC, Salt Lake City, Dallas, and more. After each screening, attendees will also be treated to an exclusive seven-minute pre-recorded performance from East Forest.

Music For Mushrooms is an 82-minute narrative feature film focused on growth and healing. Following its premiere in New York City on September 13, the film has earned outstanding reviews and praise from viewers, with many sharing their appreciation for its uplifting and encouraging themes. It offers a heartfelt perspective on music and psychedelics to convey a powerful message of hope.

As the world grapples with increasing anxiety, the storyline highlights the importance of silencing our racing minds to reconnect with our innermost selves. The diverse array of talented cast members includes spiritual leader Ram Dass, musician/producer Jon Hopkins, DJ and producer ANNA, East Forest’s partner Marisa Radha Weppner, and more, who will each guide the viewers to tap into the wisdom that we all carry within.

Don’t miss out on this one-of-a-kind theatrical experience that promises to inspire a deep sense of introspection. If you’re not able to make the screening on October 10, fret not! There will be additional screenings in more cities. Check out the trailer on YouTube, find out all the locations and grab your tickets now via East Forest’s website and follow the artist to stay updated about new screening dates.
