Dreamstate Australia Drops 2025 Lineup Fusing Trance and Techno

Above & Beyond, Indira Paganotto, Reinier Zonneveld, and Nifra are among the artists who are set to play Dreamstate Australia 2025.

Who says you can’t mix techno and trance? Certainly not the organizers of Dreamstate Australia. They have just shared the lineup for the 2025 edition of the festival taking place at the Sydney Showground on February 8 and the Flemington Racecourse on February 9. It currently includes 16 artists associated with either or both genres.

Leaping off the graphic is Above & Beyond, which is easily the biggest billing of the lot. The UK trio has been active for more than two decades, originally playing classic trance before becoming more closely associated with the progressive side of the genre.

Also catering to the trance community on which the Dreamstate brand was built are Slovakian DJ and producer Nifra, Dutch duo Avao, and W&W side project NWYR. The lineup even includes a back-to-back set between Australian talent MaRLo and UK DJ and producer Ben Nicky.

Meanwhile, representing the techno of the spectrum are major figureheads like Indira Paganotto and Juliet Fox. While the former hails from Spain and the latter from Australia, they share in common that they both broke through post pandemic after toiling away at their respective projects for years.

The Dreamstate Australia 2025 lineup also includes a live set from none other than Reinier Zonneveld. Hailing from The Netherlands, he needs no introduction among techno fans. He boasts releases on Stil vor Talent, Intec Digital, and M-nus, while running his own imprint, Filth on Acid.

Insomniac organized the first Dreamstate event in San Bernardino, California in 2015, capitalizing on a classic trance community left with no outlet in the wake of the EDM boom. The brand wasted no time expanding to different markets, and Dreamstate Australia debuted in October of 2016.
