Brunch Electronik has been forced to cancel their show at Pershing Square this weekend after the permits pulled were deemed inadequate.
Brunch Electronik made waves earlier this year after the beloved brand crossed the Atlantic to host an edition in Los Angeles. Their first event in Southern California featured top artists in the scene and stirred up plenty of excitement for what would come during the second edition on September 21. But just days before the second show is set to take place at Pershing Square, Brunch Electronik has canceled the event.
Although Brunch Electronik states they worked hard for months to bring this event to life, permit issues surfaced earlier this week that couldn’t be resolved in time to allow the event to move forward. “Despite providing everything that was requested by the venue stakeholders to produce the event at Pershing Square, we were told at the last minute that the permits pulled were inadequate, leaving us with not enough time to remedy the situation,” the organizers shared in their official statement.
Brunch Electronik expressed its dismay at the situation, especially the inconvenience it caused those who planned to attend the show. They are offering refunds for those who purchased tickets, with requests able to be made until Friday, October 11, at 11 a.m. PT via the point of purchase (DICE, Resident Advisor, or Getin). Those who want to continue supporting Brunch Electronik can hold onto their ticket, which will be valid for the next edition they bring to Los Angeles.
The second edition of Brunch Electronik in Los Angeles was set to feature performances from Argy, Dubfire, Sabo, and Airrica. Stay tuned for updates on future events hosted by the brand.
