Worlds Away enlists Augmento as their Title Tech Sponsor and partners with Normal Studio, Endstate, and Vita Motus to bring cutting-edge, technology-based activations to the inaugural event.
In early August, lifestyle platform and experience curator Pendulum shook the scene by announcing Silicon Valley’s newest festival experience, Worlds Away, sponsored by NEFT Vodka. The inaugural edition of Worlds Away takes place on the Monterey County Fairgrounds on October 12. It aims to create a never-before-seen experience by combining the latest technology, vibrant art installations, and top-tier artists.
Today, event organizers announced that they are partnering with AR platform Augmento as the key Title Tech Sponsor, as well as with Normal Studio, Endstate, and Vita Motus. Together, they will create groundbreaking and interactive activations designed to transform how technology is used at festivals, and how crowds interact with it.
Worlds Away and all of its partners will transform the fairgrounds into a unique universe that transports travelers, as they call their attendees, into a brand-new world called Nexus. Travelers will be greeted with cutting-edge technology displayed through different installations including a digital graffiti wall, 3-D maps, virtual merchandise and food vendor portals, and an AR scavenger hunt — all powered by Augmento. Normal Studio contributes to the immersive experience with an interactive room featuring projection surfaces and LED screens to visually represent the festival atmosphere.

Further, all merchandise will be NFC-chipped by Endstate to deliver exclusive content like behind-the-scenes footage and a digital collectible known as “GATEKEEPERS” so that Travelers can go beyond the festival grounds with an extension of the experience. Vita Motus, renowned for its work with Coachella and EDC Las Vegas, has also designed thematic landscapes for travelers to enhance their experiences on the festival grounds.
As if that’s not enough, all tech installations will be accompanied by the sounds of the hottest acts in music. Among them are The Chainsmokers, Tiësto, R3HAB, Sam Feldt, Lost Kings, and Ayokay. More artists are set to be announced for the exclusive Preview Night and Pendulum’s Twilight Nights event, guaranteeing an energizing daytime celebration and a mesmerizing nocturnal experience, respectively.
