Armin van Buuren revealed on his globally renowned radio show that A State Of Trance will return to Ahoy Rotterdam for two nights in February.

From its humble beginnings in 2001 to becoming a globally syndicated radio show and behemoth brand over two decades later, A State Of Trance (ASOT) has been a force to be reckoned with in the scene. Led by Armin van Buuren, this beloved show became far more once live events were thrown into the mix. While editions have seen the trance maestro head to cities worldwide, the edition in Europe has always stood tall with its depth and atmosphere, including the major celebration for 1,000 episodes just a few years ago.

Last year saw A State Of Trance shift from its longstanding home in Utrecht to Rotterdam, and the festival added even more excitement during the two-night affair with a stacked lineup. Today, during his latest ASOT episode, Armin van Buuren announced they would return to Ahoy Rotterdam for another fantastic celebration of all things trance on February 21-22, 2025.

The upcoming edition of A State Of Trance Rotterdam opens the doors to a new partnership with Insomniac Europe, a major US-based electronic music festival brand looking to make waves overseas. “A State of Trance is only getting bigger and bigger, so I’m excited to partner with Insomniac Europe as we continue to achieve greater heights,” Armin van Buuren said.

A State Of Trance in Rotterdam featured a bevy of artists who took the stage over the festival’s two nights, but that wasn’t the only aspect that made it stand out. They curated a full weekend experience by hosting exclusive activities, panels, and speakers. Additionally, they launched the A State Of Trance Hotel in partnership with Hilton, allowing those staying on-site to have an elevated experience as the event’s official hub.

Last year, we saw a huge expansion, not only moving to Rotterdam but also turning this festival into a two-day experience with our very own hotel, two shows, dozens of artists, speakers, events, and all kinds of activities. This really feels like a new chapter for us and I am excited to see what we can achieve together.

While details surrounding the lineup are still yet to be revealed, those attending can expect some of the biggest movers and shakers on Armada, rising stars making waves in the scene, and, of course, Armin van Buuren, playing at the upcoming edition.

Stay tuned for more details and get ready to grab your ticket or hotel package, as they go on sale soon. The Hotel Sale begins on September 4 at 12:00 CEST (3pm PT), while the ticket presale kicks off on September 5 at 12:00 CEST (3pm PT). Head to the official website to register for presale access!
