Soul Wax, 2manydjs, DJ Tennis, Floating Points, Nia Archives, DJ Seinfeld, Disclosure, Tycho, Franc Moody, and more are set to play Portola Week this year.
While many electronic music lovers have their sights set on the upcoming edition of Portola Festival, that isn’t all that’s coming to the Bay Area that weekend. Last year saw Goldenvoice pack the experience to the brim with a massive onslaught of curated shows, and this year is set to be no different. Portola Week is kicking back into gear from September 26-29, and it’s bringing some top-tier artists to some of the finest venues in San Francisco.
The Portola Week festivities begin on September 26 with a Boiler Room showcase at SVN West with a lineup yet to be announced, along with The Dare, who are taking the stage at The New Parish in Oakland. From there, it’s off to the races with many shows that will surely turn heads.
September 27 offers many options for those looking to dance the night away to some quality tunes. This includes Nia Archives at The Great Northern, Girl Math (Nala b2b VNSSA) at Monarch, 2manydjs b2b Erol Alkan at Audio, a Future Classic pre-party at Storek, Soulwax at The Regency Ballroom, and Floating Points at 888 Garage. A sold-out Boiler Room experience is also set to take place that night at SVN West, and the Racoon Social at The Midway is also set to be a treat.
After the first night of Portola, you can keep your body moving to the sounds of artists like Glass Beams at The Warfield, Tycho at Storek, and DJ Tennis at 888 Garage. Additionally, Hard & Gay is taking over Roccapulco, and Raf Saperra’s Off Endz Party will be featured at Monarch.
The shows on September 29 will help close Portola Week and pack an even greater punch. This includes a sold-out Disclosure Friends & Family showcase at The Midway, along with Ed Banger Records’ official after-party at 888 Garage. Franc Moody, DJ Seinfeld, and Empress Of will also perform at venues in the area.
