Miss Monique, Armin van Buuren, Richie Hawtin, and Subtronics appear on Ultra Japan’s Phase 1 lineup.
As Ultra Japan prepares for its September 14-15 return to Odaiba Ultra Park in Kōtō City, organizers are sharing more and more details to fuel fan excitement. To that end, they’ve dropped a Phase 1 lineup sure to turn heads from all across the EDM spectrum.
Topping Ultra Europe’s Phase 1 lineup announcement are WALL Recordings boss Afrojack, Swedish superstar Alesso, trance god turned big room titan Armin van Buuren, ISOxo and Knock2‘s ISOKNOCK project, and EDM class clown Steve Aoki. Each will bring their own distinctive creative range to the monumental Ultra Japan stage, not to mention throngs of adoring fans.
Ultra Japan’s RESISTANCE lineup is off to a strong start as well. Anfisa Letyago, Miss Monique, and Massano arguably stand out as the buzzier breakout names on the bill. Meanwhile, Eli Brown, Hot Since 82, and especially Richie Hawtin will bring their decades of experience in house and techno to the gathering.
Even what Ultra Japan calls its support lineup features bonafide headliners. Heavy dubstep figurehead Subtronics, fast-rising house DJ and producer Disco Lines, and Dutch hard dance artist Brennan Heart appear on it.
As its name suggests, Odaiba Ultra Park was built for the express purpose of hosting Ultra Japan each year. It’s located in Kōtō City, a ward toward the southern end of Japan’s densely populated Tokyo prefecture.
Ultra Japan is part of Ultra Worldwide, an entity that adapts the experience refined by Ultra Music Festival‘s flagship Miami gathering into satellite events across the globe. To date, it has manifested as festivals in countries like Argentina, Croatia, Korea, South Africa, Indonesia, and the United Arab Emirates.
