SXM Festival is hosting its first-ever summer residency in Ibiza this year with three exclusive events at Akasha Ibiza on the north side of the White Isle.
SXM Festival might be most renowned for its annual spring soiree on Saint Martin, but it’s set its sights on bringing Caribbean vibes to the other side of the Atlantic Ocean. This year, the beloved boutique festival brand will head to Ibiza for its first-ever summer residency, which will take place on July 5, August 9, and September 5 at Akasha Ibiza.
Nestled on the north side of the White Isle, Akasha Ibiza is the perfect place to get a dose of the Caribbean heat that SXM Festival will provide, with the intimate venue known for its unique design and high-quality sound system. And true to the festival’s deep curation, the residency will feature standout artists who showcase house and techno sounds.
While the lineups for August and September are yet to be revealed, the kick-off show on July 5 is set to feature some serious talent. Legendary artist Sander Kleinenberg is one of the first names that pops out. That said, others like melodic house and techno artist Kadosh and SXM Festival favorites Nicolas Masseyeff and Oxia are also sure to impress those making their way to the White Isle.
Julian Prince, the founder, artistic director, and curator of SXM Festival, is also set to perform. “Bringing the Caribbean vibes to Ibiza is a dream come true,” he shared. “We’re excited to merge the best of both worlds, creating a series of events that will be remembered for their innovation, intimacy, and incredible music. This is the beginning of something very special.”
