Nia Archives, Fatboy Slim, and James Blake stand out among the Glastonbury 2024 headliners.
At long last, the Glastonbury 2024 lineup has arrived. This year’s rollout has included its fair share of hiccups, namely the ticket on-sale getting pushed back two weeks. That’s practically ancient history, though, especially with the 2024 slate of headliners here to reignite fan interest for the Somerset, England festival that runs from June 28-30.
As always, electronic music features heavily on the lineup. Jungle sensation Nia Archives, electronica superstar James Blake, and rising house phenomenon Barry Can’t Swim are among the hot, new names lending their draw to the cause. Meanwhile, Glastonbury has also billed veterans of rave like Goldie, Faithless, and Orbital — the lattermost of whom made history as the first televised electronic act when they performed at the 1994 edition of the festival.
Glastonbury’s Shangri-La area will also include a curated experience called Arrivals focused on South Asian artists. Nikki Nair, Anish Kumar, Raji Rags, and Angel D’lite are a handful of the talent who will perform as part of the feature.
Headliners from across the music spectrum appear on the Glastonbury 2024 lineup as well. Notable among them Coldplay, Dua Lipa, Jessie Ware, Avril Lavigne, and Two Door Cinema Club.
Glastonbury debuted in 1971 as the Glastonbury Fair. It takes place annually except in fallow years in which the land is allowed to recover from the impacts of the production and crowds, which can be as big as 145,000 people per day. The festival also holds a special place in electronic music history and continues to bill a staggering number of DJs.
Find Glastonbury’s full lineup and set times on the festival’s website, and look out for the imminent launch of its official mobile app.
