John Summit is gearing up to release his biggest body of work to date, his full-length debut album, Comfort In Chaos.

John Summit has rapidly taken over large swaths of the scene as he’s risen through its ranks over the past few years. While his original sonic roots reside in house he’s since expanded to touch everything from techno to drum and bass while going back-to-back with others like Subtronics in the dubstep realm. Adding even more to his name, he’s recently inked a deal with Bose to become a face for the brand.

While John Summit has impressed with countless singles and performances during his ascent to the scene, a potential album didn’t seem to be in the cards for him after he dismissed the idea early on. That changed last year, though, as he began to tease that he was working on a full-length album and began to drop clips of him working with others in the scene. Today, he’s officially announced details surrounding Comfort In Chaos.

Comfort In Chaos will be released on Friday, July 12 via Experts Only/Darkroom and is anticipated to feature some of his biggest tracks that have dropped lately “EAT THE BASS” and “Shiver” with HAYLA. Additionally, his massive collaboration with Sub Focus and Julia Church, “Go Back,” landed earlier this month as the latest single from the album to surface. Beyond these tracks, fans can expect a balance between his Chicago house roots and other genres that John Summit has fallen in love with over the course of his career.

Trying to find peace in chaos is the overarching theme of this album – this is a far more emotional, melodic body of work for me, because it’s my most introspective work to date. John Summit is the performing act, but when I write music I get more vulnerable – while writing this album, I had to go from being in the mindset of John Summit to being John Schuster, my real name.

Paired with the announcement is the release of the official album art for Comfort In Chaos. Created by Puerto Rican visual artist Marcos Alvarado, it explores themes of consciousness, meditation, and spirituality. Additionally, the album will be available on vinyl with two separate pressings, one for the Comfort side with a blue splatter and the other for the Chaos side with a red splatter.

Presave Comfort In Chaos ahead of its release on July 12. Limited Chaos and Comfort editions of the vinyl are also available via his official website.
