Making Time ∞ inaugurated in 2021 and immediately became a key event in the Philadelphia underground. “I’ve had many transcendental experiences on the dance floor over the years, incredible experiences that I’ll never forget,” Making Time ∞ Founder David Pianka aka DJ David P told Billy Penn in 2022. “I want to create those experiences for other people.”
Pianka also said that the festival takes its name from the song “Making Time” by English band The Creation. The 1966 single is recognized as many to be one of the first recorded that includes a guitar played with a bow.
