RÜFÜS DUL SOL, Justice, Disclosure, FISHER, Gesaffelstein, Jamie xx, Four Tet, and M.I.A. are set to headline the upcoming edition of Portola.
Dance music lovers might still be reeling from all the sensational performances at Coachella this year, but Goldenvoice has something else brewing that will surely draw attention from many—the return of Portola Festival. Past editions of this Bay Area festival have seen major artists take over the stages at Pier 80 to provide an experience that’s been difficult to match, and this year is shaping up to be no different.
Portola is running it back for another round on September 28-29, and today, they dropped off the lineup that might just be one of its most stacked yet. RÜFÜS DUL SOL, Gesaffelstein, Jamie xx, and Four Tet will headline the festival on Saturday, while Justice, Disclosure, FISHER, and M.I.A. will take over control on Sunday. And if you thought it couldn’t get any better than that, you’d be sorely mistaken.
Saturday will feature additional sets from some of the biggest movers and shakers in the scene. Mall Grab, Nia Archives, Tycho, Mochakk, Interplanetary Criminal, Floating Points, Soulwax, and Peaches are among some of the standouts that day, along with Bicep showcasing their Chroma project and Carlita and DJ Tennis going b2b as Astra Club.
Meanwhile, Sunday packs its own punch with performances from Honey Dijon, Sara Landry, Chase & Status, DJ Pee .Wee (aka Anderson .Paak), Sammy Virji, LP Giobbi, Kenya Grace, DJ Heartstring, and Boys Noize b2b VTSS. Add in a dose of live sets from Tinlicker, Ben Böhmer, and Barry Can’t Swim, and you’ve got quite an experience ahead of you if you’re planning to attend.
Two-day GA passes for Portola start at $359.95 + fees, with VIP passes clocking in at $599.95 + fees. Single-day GA and VIP passes will be available as well for $239.95 + fees and $359.95 + fees, respectively.
