Daily Bread, Jade Cicada, and Opiuo will each headline a night of Evolutions Festival in Afton, New York.
In year five of its lifetime as an event brand, Evolutions Festival is making a statement. Organizers of the gathering — which will take place from September 6-8 at New Echo Lake in Afton, New York — have shared a phase one lineup that builds upon what they accomplished in previous editions.
Three names stand out prominently on the 2024 bill: Daily Bread, Jade Cicada, and Opiuo. Each artist will perform on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, respectively. Daily Bread is on an absolute tear lately, riding high on the recent buzz around experimental bass. Jade Cicada and Opiuo are more established, but still make for exciting showings.
Other big standouts on the Evolutions Festival 2024 lineup thus far are Eazybaked, Ravenscoon, A Hundred Drums, and Black Carl! All told, the phase one announcement consists of 15 names. If the final lineup is roughly the same size as that of 2023, it looks to triple in size by the time revelers arrive at New Echo Lake at the end of the summer.
While 845 Vibrations launched the Evolutions project five years ago, the current form of the festival first took place in 2021. The debut event generated considerable buzz thanks to headliners like LSDREAM, Mersiv, and The Widdler. The following editions billed artists such as Dirt Monkey, Minnesota, Boogie T, and Wreckno.
The 2024 installment of Evolutions Festival will take place one month earlier in the year than the gathering did in previous years. Last year, for instance, it ran from October 6-8, after fall set in and chillier weather hung over the lake.
