Kaleena Zanders Sets a Vibe Ahead of Shabang Festival

Kaleena Zanders is prepping for her set at Shabang Festival next weekend and dropped off a mix to give everyone a hearty helping of house grooves.

From belting out some of the strongest vocals in the scene to keeping crowds dancing deep into the night with her sets, Kaleena Zanders has truly become a force to be reckoned with. Drawing inspiration from classic house and pop artists while providing a modern touch, her vocal prowess can be heard on tracks from artists ranging from Chris Lake and AC Slater to Moon Boots and SNBRN.

If you’ve spent any amount of time in the house scene, there’s no doubt you’ve heard Kaleena Zanders belt out lyrics on tracks like “Rhythm Is A Dancer,” “California,” “Break The Rules,” and “Carry Us.” Her solo releases have also done numbers as well, with PATCHWORK and RUMBLE IN THE DISCO landing in 2023. More recently, she teamed up with Tchami and Malaa for “Giving Me Life” and also dropped another stunner called “SAVE ME” with the Gospel House Choir.

Kaleena Zanders isn’t a one-dimensional artist, though, as she’s consistently delivered impressive performances behind the decks. Not only has she taken the stage at festivals like Beyond Wonderland SoCal, where she recently went b2b with Aluna, and venues like The Shrine, but she’s also joined Night Bass on tour. And in a matter of days, she’ll be gracing the stage at Shabang Festival during its 10th anniversary.

I’m very excited to play Shabang because I am from the West Coast and there is nothing like playing in a familiar place. When I was young my class would take field trips to San Luis Obispo to check out the beautiful missions and then make school reports on them. I’m not sure that I ever thought I’d be rocking a show here! Stoked to see some new faces.
