Reinier Zonneveld’s newly announced R² Festival will feature the debut of his AI live music project and stages hosted by Amnesia, STOOR, and more.

Reinier Zonneveld has become renowned for bringing some of the most brilliant soundscapes to the techno scene. From jaw-dropping tracks to live performances that have stunned thousands, the Filth On Acid boss continues to prove time after time that he’s one of the most forward-thinking artists on the planet. The latest cutting-edge concept that Reinier Zonneveld has created is R², an AI model that transcends the norm of production and performance.

This year, Reinier Zonneveld is expanding on that technological advancement with the launch of R² Festival, which is set to take place on August 17 in Spaarnwoude, The Netherlands. There, Reinier Zonneveld will grace the stage and perform the first-ever live AI b2b set between a human and a computer. The R² AI, which was trained off thousands of hours of his original releases and live shows, is the perfect companion for his upcoming b2b set for a seamless experience.

Reinier Zonneveld’s ground-breaking b2b isn’t the only aspect of R² Festival that will turn heads, as seven additional stages will be found at Spaarnwoude for attendees to check out. While the lineups are still to be revealed, the stage hosts have all been pivotal players in his career. This includes Ibiza’s Amensia with their Pyramid concept, Speedy J’s STOOR, Unreal from the Bootshaus team, Kompass Klub from Belgium, and a revival of defunct Amsterdam nightlife institution De Marktkantine. Additionally, The Beginning will focus on the illegal raves that helped foster Reinier Zonneveld’s career, while his label, Filth On Acid, will also host a stage.

“I’ve always been excited about pushing boundaries and integrating technology in my performances. Last year, I broke the Guinness World Record for the longest live electronic music set at my own Karren Maar Festival. This year, With R², we’re taking that ethos to new heights,” Reinier Zonneveld said. “This isn’t just about playing music; it’s about crafting an experience that transcends expectations. I’m super excited to have all these iconic stage hosts at my festival, where R² and I will lead you on a journey into uncharted sonic territory, redefining what’s possible in live performances.”

Stay tuned for more details on this new experience from Reinier Zonneveld, including the lineup and ticket information, by pre-registering and checking out their official website.
