Imagine Music Festival will be taking a year off as they look to build an even better version of the festival in the future.
For years, Imagine Music Festival has been a go-to experience for anyone in the Southeast region of the US who wants to get a dose of electronic beats and experience an immersive environment. In recent years, Iris Presents expanded the independent festival to include camping options and a takeover of the grounds at Kingston Downs, the former site of TomorrowWorld, and continued to breathe life into the experience with refreshing themes. But this year, the stars were not aligned for Imagine Music Festival to return.
While the festival had posted in January that they were looking to make improvements and solve issues, those enhancements clearly did not move forward as planned. An hour ago, Imagine Music Festival posted on Facebook and its website that it will be pausing in 2024 to improve the experience for attendees in future years. The same statement has been recently posted to Instagram.
This news comes two weeks after the community began to speculate that the festival wouldn’t be returning. Iris Presents’ Glenn Goodhand had previously commented on social media that this year’s edition was uncertain and a public statement on this year’s edition was forthcoming.
Imagine Music Festival got off to a rocky start after the dust from the pandemic settled as the 2021 edition was canceled due to poor weather conditions. The two most recent editions of the festival seemingly went off without a hitch, with 2023 boasting of another stacked lineup that included heavy hitters in the scene, such as Chris Lake, Dillon Francis, John Summit, Dom Dolla, SVDDEN DEATH, SLANDER, REZZ, Big Gigantic, and more.
