EXIT Festival founder Dušan Kovačević has said that 2024 will mark the event’s “best electronic music edition so far.”
Dance music lovers planning to attend to EXIT Festival have all the more reason to look forward to the 2024 installment of the gathering at Petrovaradin Fortress in Novi Sad, Serbia on July 10-14. Following December’s first batch of names, organizers have announced several more that send the draw for electronic acts over the top.
Among the new additions are techno figureheads Maceo Plex, I Hate Models, and Kobosil. Meanwhile, electro will get some representation courtesy of Helena Hauff while artists like Barry Can’t Swim, Yotto, and Airrica will paint with various shades of the house music spectrum.
The EXIT Festival bill also includes a couple of noval artist pairings. On Thursday, anamē will play back to back with BLR, and on Saturday, DJEFF will play back to back with Fiona Kraft.
Previously announced EXIT Festival headliners include Sama’ Abdulhadi, Bonobo, Carl Cox, Franky Wah, Rudimental, Steve Angello, Klangkuenstler, and John Newman, the latter of whom will play a hybrid live set.
When EXIT Festival debuted in 2000, it originally stemmed from a student protest movement and only included six headliners. It grew to the point that annual attendance ranged from 150,000-250,000, and founder Dušan Kovačević turned down purchase offers to instead donate the brand to the city of Novi Sad in 2007 so that the gathering could continue to take place at Petrovaradin Fortress.
Kovačević has said that the 2024 event will be EXIT Festival’s “best electronic music edition so far.” He added, “Every year, we elevate both the line-up and production to a higher level.”
EXIT Festival’s organizers still have yet to announce any headliners for July 10, the first day of the festival. Purchase tickets and find additional information on the event website.
