Das Energi Festival’s organizers have unveiled the first lineup details of the gathering’s 2024 edition.
Festival season just got a lot more real for fans of EDM in and around Salt Lake City. Local powerhouse Das Energi Festival has just unveiled the names of four artists making up the phase 1 headliners for the 2024 event slated to take place August 9 and 10 at The Great Saltair.
Trance lovers in the area are in for a treat as Above & Beyond will return to Das Energi this year. The trio comprised of Jono Grant, Paavo Siljamäki, and Tony McGuinness have amassed a dedicated global following since uniting in the year 2000, not the least of which is because of the Anjunabeats label they head up.
Rezz is also slated to perform, and she’s sure to unleash visceral basslines on eager crowds at The Great Saltair. Rezz grew famous for innovating the style of midtempo that can be heard in early releases such as her 2016 mau5trap EP The Silence is Deafening or her debut 2017 album Mass Manipulation. Her latest effort, CAN YOU SEE ME?, saw her explore a wider range by collaborating with big names in heavy bass music.
Seven Lions is also included as one of Das Energi’s phase 1 headliners. Once a producer and DJ closely associated with melodic dubstep, his close ties with Anjunabeats can be heard in the trance-progressive-leaning Illenium collaboration “Not Even Love” featuring ÁSDÍS that he dropped last week.
Last but certainly not least is Subtronics, an artist who needs no introduction among heavy bass fanatics. Festivalgoers will undoubtedly get to hear tracks from his February album TESSERACT on a proper system, along with no shortage of IDs and edits.
The brainchild of V2 Presents, Das Energy Festival debuted in 2012 as a single-day event. It expanded to two days starting in 2016 and has taken place as such every year since, save for when the pandemic caused live music to shut down across the globe in 2020.
