Quasar is the newest stage to grace Coachella and will feature Michael Bibi, Eric Prydz x Anyma, RÜFÜS DU SOL, Honey Dijon x Green Velvet, and more.
There’s no question that Coachella has been full of surprises this year. While the initial weeks of 2024 brought forth a delayed lineup reveal and the slowest ticket sales in years, excitement has begun to pick up in recent months as Goldenvoice revealed more plans for the upcoming edition. This has included a newly revamped footprint and Sahara stage, massive lineups for both weekends at the Do LaB, and the launch of Goldenvoice Surf Club for some daytime fun in the sun off-site. Today, Coachella dropped off the latest surprise – a fresh stage dedicated to extended sets called Quasar.
Quasar will feature 3+ hour extended sets from some of the most beloved artists in the electronic music scene, some of which are entirely new additions to the lineup that have stirred up even more hype. The first weekend will feature Honey Dijon and Green Velvet going b2b on Friday, Michael Bibi on Saturday, and Jamie XX, Floating Points, and Daphni performing together on Sunday. The second weekend kicks everything into another gear with RÜFÜS DU SOL on Friday, Eric Prydz and Anyma playing a sunset set on Saturday, and Diplo and Mau P performing on Sunday.
In a recently released video on their official social media accounts, the location will be where the old Sahara tent has been in previous years. It will feature two “monolithic” LED walls that feature real-time content played on them. The official Coachella website states, “It’s not a dream. It’s not a mirage. It’s the newest stage joining the desert roster. More artists, extended sets,” so get ready for an epic experience.
Passes for the first weekend of Coachella are sold out, with limited passes remaining for the second weekend. Head to their official website to make your purchase if you plan to check out this new stage for yourself!
