The iconic Red Rocks Amphitheatre will play host to one of Tiësto’s longest DJ sets in recent memory this fall.

Colorado fans of Tiësto are marking their calendars for one of his landmark events this fall. The DJ, producer, and Musical Freedom label boss will perform a four-hour set at Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Morrison, Colorado on the evening of November 15.

Organizing the event is local promoter Global Dance, the brainchild responsible for annual gatherings Global Dance Festival and Decadence. Tiësto (real name Tijs Verwest) will deliver a special set billed as Prismatic — but exactly what that entails is anybody’s guess, at least as of right now.

Red Rocks’ history as a venue extends back nearly a century. It exchanged hands a number of times before the City of Denver purchased and named it in 1927, and president Franklin D. Roosevelt‘s New Deal funded the construction of its amphitheater in 1936.

Red Rocks has hosted performances by such artists as The Beatles, Widespread Panic, and The Fray throughout the years. It has also recently become a popular choice for headline sets by electronic music stars like Carl Cox, Rezz, and Alison Wonderland. Last year, Red Rocks was even the fourth most-attended venue in the world.

Verwest, who was born and raised in the Netherlands and gained global renown during the trance era at the turn of the millenium, has developed a special connection to Colorado. His wife Annika Backes hails from the Centennial State, and his favorite football team is the Denver Broncos. Four years have passed since his last headline show at Red Rocks, a socially distanced event during the pandemic.

Tickets to Tiësto’s Prismatic DJ set at Red Rocks Amphitheatre go on sale Friday, March 15 at 10am. Purchase yours and find additional information via AXS.
