Osheaga Music and Arts Festival Returns to Parc Jean-Drapeau in Montréal August 2-4.
Music lovers in and around Montréal have reason to rejoice today. Osheaga Music and Arts Festival has shared the full lineup for its triumphant return to Parc Jean-Drapeau from August 2-4.
Osheaga boasts a wealth of big names sure to entice EDM fans in particular. Justice are slated to perform and will be soaring off the release of their April album, HYPERDRAMA. DJ Minx, Mochakk, Elderbrook, and Uncle Waffles are a handful of the names who will help cover the wide stylistic range of house and techno. Even Martin Garrix graces the bill, giving the event a dash of larger-than-life mainstage flavor.
Electronic music is not the primary focus of Osheaga, however. Featuring prominently are bands like Green Day and The Smashing Pumpkins, rappers like Skepta and Lil Tjay, and singer-songwriters such as Noah Kahan and Reneé Rapp. Even hip-hop innovator T-Pain appears on the lineup following a similar announcement for this year’s Bonnaroo After-Hours.
Osheaga Music and Arts Festival debuted in 2006, taking its name from a title given to what is now known as Montréal when it was settled by Europeans. Headliners that year included indie bands like Metric, We Are Wolves, and The Stills along with major billings like Sonic Youth and electronic musician Amon Tobin. The following year, organizers moved to expand on music styles other than indie to increase the festival’s draw.
Over the years, Osheaga lineups have included artists like Coldplay, Iggy and the Stooges, The Roots, Eminem, and Arcade Fire. The 2023 event, which drew 300,000 attendees over three days, billed RÜFUS DU SOL, Billie Eilish, and Kendrick Lamar, among others.
Single-day tickets to Osheaga Music and Arts Festival start at $165 CAD, and three-day passes start at $395 CAD. Purchase yours and find additional information on the event website.
