Mikey Lion, Lee Reynolds, Marbs, and Porky are taking Desert Hearts Festival to Playa Ponderosa in Arizona for its upcoming edition on July 4-8.
One boutique festival that’s taken the house and techno scene by storm over the past decade has come from the motley crew known as Desert Hearts. While their performances around the world have helped spread their mission of delivering a dose of house, techno, and love, it’s their annual Desert Hearts Festival that has captivated thousands. While last year saw a bit of a bump in the road, with the festival shifting to Los Angeles and camping being put on pause, they’re gearing up for a massive return back to their original form in 2024 with today’s announcement.
Just hours ago, Mikey Lion, Lee Reynolds, Marbs, and Porky announced that Desert Hearts Festival will be coming back in full force on July 4-8 at its new home, Playa Ponderosa. This lush private venue that’s just outside Flagstaff, Arizona, will allow for the free-spirited ethos and renegade origins of Desert Hearts to reign supreme once again, with non-stop house and techno pumping through the festival’s sound system all weekend long.
Desert Hearts Festival’s foundational “one stage, one vibe” format will return, but that’s not all that they have in store as this move sees them team up with their “twin flame,” Walter Productions, to bring this to life. These two have fostered a relationship for years after throwing parties together, making this a match made in heaven. Additionally, the venue itself will feature an interconnected arena of theme camps, artists, art installations, and more for attendees to explore. Those attending can expect an even more immersive weekend than ever before, with the famed art car collective turned local community behemoth powering the festival.
Tickets for Desert Hearts Festival 2024 go on sale Friday, February 16 at 1pm PT. Head to their official website for more details and stay tuned for the lineup to be revealed!
