tINI, Satoshi Tomiie, Magda, and Raresh round out the Sunny Side Festival Malta 2024 lineup.
From May 17 – 19, a brand-new dance music gathering will grace the island of Malta. It goes by the name of Sunny Side Festival, and organizers have now unveiled the full lineup for the three-day event.
The phase one lineup announcement included headliners like Sonja Moonear, Raresh, Magda, Prosumer, and Brian James. Phase two added such celebrated artists as Ryan Elliott, tINI, Satoshi Tomiie, and Tijana T to the bill. Laurine will also play a back-to-back set with Cecilio, and Sam Bangura will perform one alongside Harry McCanna.
Talent will be split across two stages. One is along Tortuga Beach in the village of Mellieha, and the other is a beloved open-air club called Uno Malta in Park Nazzjonali Ta’ Qali in the town of Attard.
Outside of the music itself, attendees will get to enjoy local cuisine and culture. Malta is home to more than picturesque coastlines; it also has numerous ancient temples built by the Monastic State of the Order of Malta in the 16th century.
Sunny Side Festival is the brainchild of Sunny Side Up, a promoter active on the island of Malta since 2017. Best known for their Sunday morning parties, according to a press release, the outfit has brought artists like Ron Bacardi (Ben Sims’ house alias), Jorge Caiado, Charlotte, Lamache, Janeret, Chris Simmonds, Brawther, Samuel Deep, and Dou Dou MD to the island.
Malta was also nearly home to an offshoot of Mexico’s The BPM Festival. The BPM Festival: Malta was slated to take place in Uno Village on September 11 of 2020 — but like nearly every established music festival worldwide, it was called off on account of the pandemic.
Three-day passes to Sunny Side Festival Malta 2024 currently go for €100. Find more information or purchase tickets on the event website.
