Tomorrowland’s famed CORE stage will make a stop in Medellín to dazzle local house and techno lovers.
Last week, Tomorrowland wowed house and techno lovers across the world when it unveiled a jaw-dropping stage at the debut of CORE Tulum. They have now announced plans to take the colossal structure to Colombia for the first-ever CORE Medellín at Jardín Botánico de Medellín on May 11 – 12.
To that end, Tomorrowland have partnered with Colombian promoter Breakfast Club. The brand has hosted house and techno festivals like La Solar, Ritvales, Paralelo y La Verbena, and Baum Park. Organizers expect 20,000 attendees over the two-day event. It will takes place in a botanical garden whose centerpiece is a large, modular wooden structure called the Orquideorama.
Neither Tomorrowland nor Breakfast Club have shared any lineup details for CORE Medellín at the time of writing. The first night of CORE Tulum, which took place on January 13, featured such performers as Afriqua, LP Giobbi, Mind Against, and Kitty Amor. The second night is slated for January 20, with artists like Brina Knauss, DJ Boring, Jaguar, and Agents Of Time on the bill.
Tomorrowland’s flagship event is an EDM festival of its namesake that takes place annually in Boom, Belgium. The lineup of its inaugural 2005 event included artists like Armin van Buuren, Felix da Housecat, and Technoboy, drawing a crowd of roughly 10,000. Nearly two decades later — and on the other end of a worldwide festival boom — the gathering routinely enjoys attendance upwards of 400,000 across 14 different stages.
CORE debuted during Tomorrowland’s digital festival during the COVID-19 pandemic. Its first physical incarnation made its debut as a single stage of Tomorrowland 2022.
Presale for CORE Medellín opens on Tuesday, February 6 at 10am ET on the CORE website. It will remain available for 72 hours after that time.
