After this year’s Deadrocks, Zeds Dead will bring Backyard Jamboree back to Civic Center Park in Denver.
Come July 2 – 3, Zeds Dead will have brought their iconic annual party series to one of the world’s most popular venues for the tenth time. The beloved duo have announced a milestone edition of Deadrocks at Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Morrison, Colorado, followed by the return of their relatively newer Deadbeats Backyard Jamboree gathering at Civic Center Park in nearby Denver on July 4.
At the time of writing, no lineup details are available for either event. Previous editions of Deadrocks have billed supporting acts like Dada Life, Dillon Francis, Tchami, Rezz, G Jones, Liquid Stranger, and A Hundred Drums. Deadbeats Backyard Jamboree, now in its fourth year, has previously featured performances by the likes of Jessica Audiffred, Blanke, Mersiv, and So Tuff So Cute. All told, organizers expect over 35,000 attendees across both events in 2024.
Dylan “DC” Mamid and Zachary “Hooks” Rapp-Rovan originally produced music together as Mass Productions starting in 2004, their efforts culminating in a 2007 hip-hop album titled Fresh Beetz. They launched Zeds Dead in 2009, and timing was on their side as dubstep crossed over into mainstream awareness from 2010 to 2012.
Over the years, however, Zeds Dead has proven themselves capable of exploring a variety of styles of dance music. While they may have grown famous for earworm dubstep tracks like “Bassmentality” and their remix of “Eyes On Fire” by Blue Foundation, songs like “Lost You” featuring Twin Shadow and D’ Angelo Lacy or “In My Head” with MKLA speak to their creative range.
As their star has risen, Zeds Dead has also provided a platform for the next generation of artists. Their Deadbeats record label, in particular, has given a home to releases from artists like DNMO, Champagne Drip, Eprom, Black Carl, and Vampa.
Presale for Deadrocks 2024 starts at 10am MT on January 11, and general tickets go on sale at the same time the following day. Sign up to receive updates through Zeds Dead’s official website.
