In 2023 alone, Red Rocks shows have amassed attendance of 1.4 million, placing the venue at the #1 most attended outdoor venue in the US and the #4 most attended venue of any kind in the world.
This is according to Billboard‘s “2023 Year-End Boxscore Charts” roundup. Red Rocks placed at #3 in the category of “Top Venues (5,001-10k Capacity)” based on its gross sales of $103.5 million, but its attendance was higher than all but three venues across categories. Only O2 Arena in London (2.4 million tickets sold), Foro Sol Stadium in Mexico City (2 million tickets sold), and Madison Square Garden in New York (1.6 million tickets sold) beat it out. Auditorio Nacional in Mexico City almost tied with Red Rocks with 2023 attendance also totaling roughly 1.4 million.
