Colyn is giving everyone a look into the life of a touring DJ traversing the globe with his newly-announced UNFILTERED docu-series.
Any artist who has embarked on a massive tour will tell you that life on the road can be full of ups and downs, but few have offered an intimate look into the journeys they’ve taken. Colyn wants to change that with his newly announced, multi-part documentary series, UNFILTERED. This innovative artist has landed releases on labels like Afterlife and Rose Avenue and embarked on a massive run of shows this year, including stops at festivals like Tomorrowland and Coachella.
Officially set to debut on November 28 and run every Tuesday at 7pm CEST via YouTube, the UNFILTERED documentary series is centered around his travels around the planet. Those tuning in will get a taste of what touring life is like as Colyn explores cities like Miami, Tulum, Amsterdam, New York City, London, Barcelona, and Dubai, and it will also touch on his stops in South America.
The adventures Colyn experienced over the past year are found inside each episode, documented by his videographer Arun. Behind-the-scenes footage, clips from his shows, studio time, afterparties, and dinners with friends like Rüfüs Du Sol are just the tip of the iceberg in this series, not to mention the guest appearances from the likes of Monolink, Vintage Culture, Ben Böhmer, and more. Additionally, new music and edits from Colyn that were created for the series will be featured throughout.
But touring life isn’t only filled with fun, positive moments, and Colyn dives deeper, showcasing artists’ struggles. Fans will see what it’s like to have gigs canceled while you’re already performing, the onslaught of delayed and canceled flights, what happens when you pop an eardrum during a show, and missing out on important moments with friends and family. It’s important to explore the duality of this experience and how much of the negatives are washed away due to the positive moments with fans, exploring new places and cultures, and building friendships along the way.
