Ida Engberg, WhoMadeWho, and Henrik Schwarz will perform at DGTL events in LA and New York City.
Since its 2013 debut festival in Amsterdam, DGTL has expanded to markets like Spain, India, Israel, and Brazil. At long last, it will touch down in the US for events in two of the world’s entertainment capitals. DGTL New York will take place on December 1, followed by DGTL Los Angeles on December 2.
Both events’ lineups are nearly identical. They each promise live sets by Danish trio WhoMadeWho and longtime German dance music staple Henrik Schwarz as well as DJ sets by Mano Le Tough of Ireland and Shubostar of South Korea. Whereas DGTL New York will showcase a back-to-back set between Germany’s Ida Engberg and West African DJ and producer AMÉMÉ, however, Dutch brother duo Parelelle will perform at DGTL LA.
DGTL has partnered with event organizer Teksupport for their New York City debut, and with Stranger Than for their first-ever Los Angeles event the following day. Both outfits specialize in bespoke warehouse spaces. As you might expect, neither have shared venue details for DGTL’s upcoming shows at the time of writing.
The philosophy that guides DGTL’s talent buyers is an emphasis on tempering well-known house and techno billings by extending opportunities to the scene’s breakthrough talent. That’s not the only way the event brand looks to the future. It strives to be “the most sustainable festival on the planet,” according to a press release, offering plant-based food options and steering clear of single-use plastics among other environmental initiatives.
Cutting-edge stages, immersive lighting, and expertly curated visuals are also hallmarks of the DGTL experience. Teksupport and Stranger than will also undoubtedly lend their production touch to the New York City and Los Angeles events, respectively.
Tickets for DGTL New York and DGTL Los Angeles will go on sale October 25. Register to purchase yours via their ticketing platform.
