With over five decades of history, Glastonbury Festival will return to Somerset, England in 2024.
Somerset, England gathering Glastonbury Festival has remained a staple in UK music since the early ’70s. Its organizers have announced that tickets for the 2024 edition, which will run from June 26th-30th, will go on sale in November.
Specifically, a package that includes the ticket in addition to coach travel will be available starting on Thursday, November 2 at 6pm GMT. The following Sunday, November 5th at 9am GMT, general admission tickets will go on sale.
Lineup details have yet to be announced for Glastonbury Festival 2024. Throughout its history, world-famous acts like The Kinks, Elvis Costello, Kylie Minogue, and Coldplay have performed at its events.
The gathering also played a key role in normalizing dance music in the mainstream, perhaps most notably for broadcasting Orbital‘s 1994 performance on television. It has also booked such notable electronic musicians as The Chemical Brothers, Carl Cox, and deadmau5.
Tickets to Glastonbury Festival will cost £360 ($437.57) including booking fees. Of that, a £75 ($91.16) deposit must be made in November, with the remaining balance due in April 2024. Festival organizers have emphasized that tickets will be sold exclusively on the Glastonbury website with none allocated to outside sellers or firms. Tickets that have not been fully paid for may go on ticket resale as they did this past April.
In less than an hour after going on sale last year, tickets for the 2023 edition of Glastonbury Festival sold out. Resale tickets sold through even faster at only six minutes. An attendee hopeful’s best bet in securing tickets is to make sure their registration is updated on the Glastonbury website.
