Amnesia Ibiza Announces Lineup For 2023 Closing Party

Charlotte de Witte, Enrico Sangiuliano, and Nina Kraviz are among the headliners of Amnesia Ibiza’s 2023 closing party.

As the White Isle’s 2023 season draws to a close, superclubs are announcing their closing parties left and right. Last month, Ushuaïa and Hï Ibiza shared the details of their end-of-season celebration dubbed The Vortex. Now, Amnesia Ibiza has followed suit by sharing the lineup for Amnesia Closing on October 14.

And what a bill it is. Among the heaviest hitters on the lineup are Charlotte de Witte, Nina Kraviz, Enrico Sangiuliano, Luca Donzelli, and Deborah De Luca — all of whom will perform in the main room. The terrace will host two back-to-back sets, one between Jamie Jones and Joseph Capriati and the other between Cuartero and Ben Sterling, as well as individual sets by Fleur Shore, Danny Howard, Magnetizm, and CAAL. The magic ingredient is the club itself, though. Between ecstatic crowds and state-of-the-art production, lasting memories will be made at Amnesia Closing.

Amnesia is one of Ibiza’s longest-running clubs. Originally a country house sold to the Planells family in 1970, it opened in 1976 after Antonio Escohotado signed a lease to operate it as a venue. As house music trickled out from Chicago to worldwide markets in the ’80s, DJ Alfredo popularized a fusion of music styles that would come to be known as Balearic. His sets put the club on the map. As the White Isle itself became a popular vacation destination for Brits, Amnesia grew in step with the exploding local nightlife industry.

But Amnesia’s biggest period of growth arguably came when it exchanged hands to its current ownership in the early ’90s. The club’s staff swelled from 16 to over 200 and it added 12 bars to the four already on site. Artists like Carl Cox, Paul van Dyk, Sven Väth, Underworld, and Skrillex are but a few of the artists who have performed there over the years.
