High winds from a monsoon caused irreparable damage to structures at the Phoenix Raceway, leading to Excision’s Basstrack event being rescheduled.
This weekend was gearing up to be a special one for bass music lovers in Arizona as the debut edition of Excision’s new event with Relentless Beats, Basstrack, was set to kick off today at the Phoenix Raceway in Avondale. Unfortunately, things did not go according to plans as a severe monsoon rolled through the region on Thursday night, and its high winds caused irreparable damage to the stage structures, making the venue unsafe for attendees.
Relentless Beats posted late last night that while they looked for an alternative venue to host the event, but stated that due to the short time frame, there was “no way to safely put together a show that would fit all of the ticket holders or meet our production standards.” Because of the damage done to the venue and looming safety concerns, Basstrack is being postponed from this weekend to the last weekend of the month. The event’s new dates will be September 29-30, and all current ticketholders will be able to attend the new dates, with two-day and single-day passes transferring automatically.
The debut edition of Basstrack was set to feature sets from Adventure Club, Wooli, Ray Volpe, LAYZ, and more, along with two sets from Excision. Relentless Beats stated that they’re working hard to secure as many artists as possible from the lineup for the show’s new dates, which will be revealed in the coming days.
Those who were planning to attend Basstrack and would like to request a refund can do so by emailing [email protected] or [email protected] by 5pm PT on September 8. Stay tuned for further details by following Relentless Beats on social media.
