Insomniac is returning to the Windy City for the first time since hosting EDC Chicago in 2013 with an upcoming edition of Beyond Wonderland.
The humble beginnings for Insomniac Events might’ve begun in Southern California, but the past three decades have seen Pasquale Rotella and his crew gain significant ground on a global scale. From cities around the United States like Orlando and Seattle to international destinations ranging from Mexico to China, each year has seen the powerhouse party throwers level up the festival experience near and far. One city in the US that has been practically devoid of its presence is none other than the house music mecca, Chicago, but that’s set to change in 2024.
Insomniac Events’ last trip to the Windy City took place a decade ago when they hosted the sole edition of EDC Chicago. This multi-day camping festival experience was one of the first to arrive during the EDM boom but disappeared soon after its debut as sights were set for the festival to head elsewhere. That said, it’s a new era for Insomniac, and with it comes new adventures for headliners – and that’s where Beyond Wonderland Chicago comes in!
Beyond Wonderland is one of Insomniac’s flagship brands, with editions in Southern California and The Gorge and international trips to countries like Mexico and Colombia. Next year, the Alice In Wonderland-themed event will head to Chicago in partnership with rising promoters Auris Presents, who have taken the Windy City by storm over the past few years with experiences like ARC Music Festival and Heatwave.
