Armin van Buuren, Aly & Fila, Ferry Corsten, Lane 8 & Yotto, Andrew Bayer, Bryan Kearney, and more are slated to play Dreamstate SoCal this year.
Last week, Dreamstate delivered some major news for the faithful members of the trance family that flock to Southern California each year to bask in the genre’s sounds – they would be making a new home at the Queen Mary Waterfront on November 17-18. This announcement was met with plenty of discourse, with some excited for the new venue to explore while others felt a sense of sadness that it would be leaving its long-standing home at the NOS Events Center. Then, in the days that followed, the lineup for Dreamstate SoCal began to be revealed, and with it came even more unique changes to the event.
Akin to previous editions, there are a plethora of major artists in the trance realm who will be taking the stage at Dreamstate SoCal this year. Iconic artists such as Armin van Buuren, Aly & Fila, Vini Vici, Richard Durand, Ferry Corsten, Liquid Soul, Astrix, Infected Mushroom, and Cosmic Gate are all making their return to the festival. Special projects like KEY4050, Paul Van Dyk’s Solikien, Orjan Nilsen and Mark Sixma’s Nilsix, Fleming & Lawrence, and Talla 2XLC’s RRAW! are also set to be present, while there are many b2b performances slated to occur as well.
While Dreamstate has become known as a trance brand, other genres will be displayed throughout the weekend. Progressive and melodic house have made appearances at Dreamstate SoCal in the past, and this year will carry on with that by featuring the likes of Lane 8 & Yotto, Matt Fax, Jerome Isma-ae, and Pretty Pink. But it’s the inclusion of hard techno artists like Klangkuenstler, TRYM, and Fatima Hajji who have turned heads. It will be interesting to see how their inclusion this year will shake up the festival and if that indicates a shift for the Dreamstate brand as a whole as they continue their expansion.
Two-day GA passes start at $159.99, while VIP passes are available for $269.99, both of which are available on layaway for a $10 deposit. Additionally, Dreamstate has teased that there will be exclusive hotel packages and more to come, so keep your eyes peeled for that news as staying on the Queen Mary will make the weekend even more dreamy.
