Armin van Buuren announced that their flagship A State Of Trance festival in The Netherlands will move from Utrecht to Rotterdam in 2024.

Trance family members have flocked to The Netherlands for years to experience the sights and sounds of A State Of Trance festival. This annual soiree hosted by legendary artist Armin van Buuren has been a perennial force to be reckoned with by bringing some of the best artists in the trance scene to showcase their dynamic sounds. Earlier this year, an initial pre-registration link surfaced for details surrounding the 2024 edition of their flagship event, and today, more information was revealed.

In a dedicated episode of A State Of Trance Radio, which was recorded live from the top floor of the highest residential building in Benelux, Armin van Buuren dropped the official details for ASOT 2024. During the show, he revealed his major plans for expanding the flagship festival, including moving from its beloved home in Utrecht to a new one at AHOY in Rotterdam when it returns on February 23-24 with its DESTINATION theme in tow.

Utrecht has been an incredible place for the past years. We’ve all made countless memories there; I myself even went to my first rave in the Jaarbeurs venue back in 1993, and I’ve also hosted my first Armin Only show there. But unfortunately, they’re tearing down the iconic hall that housed our mainstage every year, so we’ve no choice but to look elsewhere. So I’m proud to say that we’re moving A State of Trance from Utrecht to… Rotterdam! The city offers infinite possibilities to build out and strengthen the legacy of A State of Trance and I’m thrilled for us to build an even more exciting future for A State of Trance in Rotterdam!

There is plenty more in store for A State Of Trance when it heads to Rotterdam. Not only will there be the usual jaw-dropping performances spread across the venue’s five stages, but broader event programming that includes daytime activities such as masterclasses, demo drops, and artist panels. Additionally, 2024 will see the introduction of A State Of Trance Hotel, a takeover of Room Mate Bruno Hotel, which will be the official hub for the weekend’s festivities as it hosts many of the aforementioned daytime activities and more.

Those planning to attend A State Of Trance next year should pre-register via their official website. Those who register will be able to access the ultimate A State Of Trance Hotel Experience, which includes an overnight stay at their official hotel and weekend tickets, starting from June 26 at 19:00 CEST. Weekend passes will be available for registered users on June 28 at 19:00 CEST, with prices starting at €69.00, while the regular ticket sale will start an hour later at 20:00 CEST.

Stay tuned for more information on A State Of Trance 2024, including the lineup and other surprises that Armin van Buuren will have in store. Check out A State Of Trance Episode 1126 on YouTube:
