DeusExMaschine Gives Everyone A Taste Of France

French DJ and producer DeusExMaschine swung by to spin up a house-fueled mix that showcases his unique take on the genre.

France is a hotbed for talented artists in the electronic music scene. While there have been countless megastars who continue to dominate the hearts and minds of dance music lovers globally, there are plenty more who are dominating clubs and causing a stir as well. One who is carving out some space for himself as of late is DeusExMaschine, who takes the soul of disco and the energy of tech house and blends it with his signature “French Touch” to make memorable tunes.

The past few years have seen DeusExMaschine drop off some impressive singles like “Nowhere Else,” “Only You,” and “Back To The Beat,” all of which put his signature style on full display. The Lyon-based producer closed out 2022 by releasing “Disco Tech” on Serial Records, and he’s already roared into the new year with “Fake Love” and, more recently, “Better,” which serves up a bouncy bassline and catchy vocals for a disco house gem.

To give everyone a peek at what his sets are like, DeusExMaschine spun up an exclusive guest mix that will help you find your groove. I was born in Lyon, but I started producing and DJing during my studies in Aix-En-Provence and Marseille around 1996/1997, at the beginning of the French Touch wave. At that time, apart from a few parties in Parisian clubs, techno was confidential in France and mostly played during raves and in a few bars, including Key Largo, rue de la Verrerie in Aix where I made my debut.
