German techno legend Dixon is set to bring his hybrid collective Transmoderna to ArtsDistrict Brooklyn on April 29.
New York City’s leading collective for underground house and techno music over the past decade, Teksupport, is back with the next addition to their unique monthly event series. On April 29, the beloved party-throwers will team up with Berlin-based DJ Dixon and Transmoderna, the hybrid collective he co-founded, to present a night full of pristine musical production and multimedia art displays.
Hosting the event is ArtsDistrict BK, Brooklyn’s home for audiovisual exploration and “immersive innovation.” Formerly the beloved House of Vans skatepark, this reclaimed events space is located on the border of Greenpoint and Williamsburg. Only less than a year old, the 25,000-square-foot venue offers a revolving stage and state-of-the-art technology.
Dixon, a pivotal figure at the crossroads of music, art, and fashion, helped bring Transmoderna to life in 2019 and has provided audiences with cutting-edge virtual exhibitions ever since. Attendees will have the opportunity to explore the depths of their creativity as they absorb the multi-sensory impressions around them. In addition to elite house and techno selections catered by the Innervisions label boss all night long, a handful of talented artists are tasked with curating the visual elements which will be projected on ArtsDistrict BK’s 360-degree screens.
The Teksupport and ArtsDistrict BK partnership is one of a handful of series that is taking the art side of nightlife more seriously and curating more immersive experiences, and this Transmoderna showcase only further proves their dedication to pushing boundaries. Don’t miss out on your chance to attend this unique, mind-altering experience!
If you’d like to attend Transmoderna New York, make sure to register for presale access. Presale tickets go on sale March 15 at 12PM ET.
