Envision Festival will not move forward in 2022 due to the significant risk of wellbeing for the local community, staff, and attendees.
Promoters around the world are continuing to face the swings of the pandemic as the scene continues to make an attempt at a return. While some festivals have seemingly gone off without a hitch, others have already looked to greener pastures in future years. The latest to do just that is Envision Festival, a beloved multi-day experience in Costa Rica that draws in attendees from all over the planet.
Originally set to take place on February 21-28, 2022, this week-long experience has now been moved to February 27 – March 6, 2023. This shift in dates is due to concerns about the impact that hosting the festival will have on the local community, as well as those attending and working. While no official word has been made on their social media accounts as of publishing, Envision Festival‘s organizers sent an email to all ticketholders to drop the news.
Envision Festival’s team also goes on to explain the impact that thousands of attendees would have on the Costa Rican jungle as well as the challenges and risks they would face. “Producing Envision this February, in light of what we know these risks would be, would undermine the core of our values and the compassion our team shares for all of you and for each other. While this is admittedly a heartbreaking decision, it is one that we are confident is the most responsible choice,” the email reads.
Those who purchased tickets to the sold-out edition in 2022 will automatically have their tickets transferred to 2023. New booking confirmation emails will be received before the end of October. If attendees have any further questions about your booking, they ask that you email them at [email protected].
Stay tuned for further details on festival postponements and cancelations this year as concerns about the COVID-19 pandemic continue.
I hate that this article exist but they haven’t made any announcements yet… also the days are wrong
They sent an official email out to all ticket purchasers, so regardless of them announcing it publicly or not, it has been postponed and people need to know. And the original dates have been updated, thanks.
