After two decades of bringing the sounds of house and techno to all corners of the globe, Spanish duo Chus & Ceballos have split up.

Since first coming together in 2000, Jesús Lopez Esteban (DJ CHUS) and J. Pablo Ceballos have been fixtures in the house and techno scene as Chus & Ceballos. Leaving their mark on the dance music community with memorable releases and performances, the duo became renowned for their ability to bring the signature Iberican Sound to speakers around the globe. They further solidified their place among the greats by launching Stereo Productions, an imprint that has featured releases from artists such as Carlo Lio, Dosem, Victor Calderone, Loco & Jam, and countless others over the years.

But after today, the duo will be going down separate paths as DJ CHUS took to social media to announce their split after the two-decade-long run. Posted in a message titled New Beginnings, he stated “After 20 years of being together, I am closing this chapter of my career, and as all of you know, eventually all good things must come to an end. I want to preserve what these 20 years of our success have been and let it last eternally in our memories.”

DJ CHUS continued on to announce his future plans as a solo career, saying he has “a new concept which I will be unveiling soon alongside an inspiring group of talent.” He further shined a light on the reason behind the transition back to his roots as a solo artist by continuing on to say, “with this new project that I have decided to dive into, I can genuinely say that I have once again found the musical spark that I needed to continue on my next chapter of life.”

As of publishing, no details have surfaced surrounding the plans for J. Pablo Ceballos. Stay tuned for more information that is sure to come in regards to those future plans and projects. Follow DJ CHUS on his social media channels below to get the latest updates on the next leg of his journey.
