The final day of EDC Las Vegas was a perfect end to the weekend!
Sunday’s drive to the venue was a bit sad, as we began to realize that it was the final day of EDC Las Vegas. Entering around the same time as usual over the weekend, we felt at home and comfortable as we bounced around stages all night. First up was Baggi, who seriously impressed me with his early set at circuitGROUNDS. After completing a quick walk towards the kineticFIELD we cooled off inside the speakeasy which connected to quantumVALLEY. It was a great place to cool down and get out of the heat.
After relaxing for a little, we went off to explore the festival grounds and see things we may have missed. I decided pretty early on that outside of John O’Callaghan was really my number one must-see of the day, and so I enjoyed checking out some artists I normally wouldn’t have before. Speaking of which, JOC played an awesome set, and I’m glad I was able to take in a full one at the stage.
Some notable sets that stuck out in my memory were Herobust and Flux Pavilion, which both took place at the bassPOD. I grew a serious appreciation for the set design they had and was blown away by the music being played out too. If you had told me I would have spent much of the final night at this stage, I would have probably laughed….but there I was!
Of course, to cap the festival off was an exclusive set by Kaskade, who played on the Kalliope Art Car as the sun rose over the speedway. It was not just a great set, but a congregation point for many people I had met throughout the weekend or had just simply parted ways with over the course of the night. It was a great way to end the weekend, with all my friends dancing together to one of our favorite artists.
