What was your first electronic music event?

Bassnectar at the Paramount Theatre in Seattle. The theme of the night: pink elephants.

What/who influenced you to attend your first event?

My buds and I were starting to get into electronic music and saw the flyers for this event while wandering the streets of Seattle. We were craving seeing this new music live and were amazed at the loudness and crazy visuals. Cue instant obsession with bass and the electronic music scene

What is one moment from an event that was special and why?

One moment that stands out from all the rest was catching a live band set from the legendary Drum and Bass group, Pendulum. The venue was tiny and the energy was high. I can still feel the drum and bass vibes whenever I think back to that night.

What is your favorite festival or event?

Over the years I have attended many festivals and countless shows around the Pacific Northwest. The one that stands out to me the most is the newly refurbished Pemberton Festival in British Columbia. The lineup is diverse and I always find myself discovering new bands to love during this weekend. The first year I went featured Outkast as a headliner and that is something I will never forget.

What is your favorite electronic song and why?

For nostalgia’s sake, I have to go with Excision – ‘Get To The Point’ (Feat. Liquid Stranger). Dirty basslines and creepy vocal samples straight out of the twilight zone.

Who are your favorite artists?

Ozzie, Troyboi, and Senojnayr.

What are your favorite genres?

I’m currently into UK Grime, Trap, and Wave.

What do you feel your “Identity” is in the electronic music community?

I feel that I bring a positive vibe to the electronic music community in the form of photographic memories and fresh tuneage. Also, I always have an open mind when it comes to new genres or artists trying to express themselves with music they wouldn’t normally make.

Is there anything else you would like to add about yourself for the readers?

My name is Quinn and I love bass and enjoying live music with friends new and old.
