Tickets for the world famous Electric Daisy Carnival (EDC), Las Vegas officially go on sale for the public starting today, Sept. 21 at Noon Pacific Time. North America’s largest music festival will celebrate its 20th anniversary as it returns to the Las Vegas Motor Speedway June 17 – 19, 2016 for three unforgettable nights Under the Electric Sky. Fans can now start planning their entire journey to and from EDC Las Vegas by purchasing festival tickets, shuttle passes, lockers and premier parking for this three-day adventure at LasVegas.ElectricDaisyCarnival.com.
Tickets have been made available nearly three months sooner than in previous years to ensure fans have the lowest admission price possible. Due to the passage of the amended Live Entertainment Tax (LET) in the city of Las Vegas, a 9 percent tax will be added to each ticket price starting on Thursday, Oct. 1. To prevent guests from paying this excess fee, Pasquale Rotella, Founder and CEO of Insomniac, has moved up the EDC Las Vegas ticket on sale date, giving fans 10 days before the tax goes into effect to secure their passes.
Three-day general admission passes start at the Early Owl price of $335 plus fees, followed by the Later Owl price of $355, plus fees. VIP passes will be available for $699 for those 21 and over, before service fees. Sleepy Owl tiered tickets will be effective starting Thursday, Oct. 1 and include the tax inflation. Sleepy Owl general admission and VIP passes will start at $386.95 and $761.91 respectively, before service fees. Layaway pricing options are available for all ticket types.
Last year’s VIP amenities included a dedicated entrance for expedited entry, multiple elevated viewing areas at EDC’s impressive stages, private bars and wifi hotspots, high end dining options, separate restroom facilities, access to exclusive lounges, a dedicated Ferris wheel and more.
In 2015, a sold-out crowd of more than 400,000 attendees from around the world came together to experience three nights of the most anticipated music festival of the year. Insomniac treated fans to the largest, most innovative EDC Las Vegas yet, transforming the 1,000-acre speedway into a fully immersive, neon-lit playground. Eight redesigned mega stages, multiple roaming art cars, over 20 creative art installations, brand new food trucks, a bustling Carnival Square, more than 20 full scale carnival rides and unforgettable nightly fireworks shows brought the vibrant landscape to life featuring performances from more than 200 of the world’s top dance music acts.
General admission tickets for last year’s event sold out months in advance and prior to the release of the festival’s impressive lineup. This year, festivalgoers can purchase up to six tickets per person. Based on the demand for tickets in previous years, Insomniac is encouraging fans to purchase passes as soon as possible to not miss out on the surprises planned for EDC Las Vegas 2016.
Shuttle passes, premier parking passes, and lockers are also available for purchase. Further information on travel packages and details surrounding EDC Week 2016 schedule of events, will be announced in the coming months at LasVegas.ElectricDaisyCarnival.com and Insomniac.com.
