Dancefestopia is set to take place at Berkley Riverfront Park in Kansas City, MO on September 11th, 12th, and 13th of this year. The festival recently released their epic artist lineup with huge headliners!
Here are my top 5 must see artists for Dancefestopia:

– Simon Patterson
– Porter Robinson

I’ve seen Bassnectar five times and he has never failed to disappoint. He has returned to the Kansas City area multiple times on his tours and his shows have always been spectacular. Bassnectar released his tenth studio album, Noise vs. Beauty, last year in June – boasting 15 new epic tracks that delve into multiple genres. His set is sure to be unique and one of the best sets of the weekend!
Simon “Psymon” Patterson is definitely a must see. I’m sure his “upper” crew will be in full force! Simon has his own radio show “Open Up” that airs every Thursday on Digitally Imported’s Trance channel. His fans (I’m definitely one of them) deem themselves as “uppers” because of the name. Simon is guaranteed to have an epic psy-trance show prepared for Kansas City.
Porter Robinson is returning to festivals in 2015! Porter had taken a break for a year to focus on his debut album, Worlds. I’m sure that everyone is glad to see him back and can’t wait to hear what he has in store to play for us live off of his new album. Seeing him live with Mat Zo on his Language tour was definitely a moment I will never forget.
I have yet to see tyDi live, but he is sure to impress. He just came out with a new album last year, ReDefined. He even released a new trance EP, The Promise, in December of 2014 and all proceeds from the sale of the EP are being donated to charity to help children in need. The EP featured five trance tracks in his “old” style – how cool! Seeing him live is definitely going to be exciting.
Lastly, my fifth recommendation, is EDX. EDX is famous for his love and truth to house music. I saw him live in 2013 and 2014 on the infamous Groove Cruise Miami – what a show! He definitely knows how to keep the crowd grooving and will bring something new and fresh to the lineup for Dancefestopia.
