Screamarts Returns To Eatbrain With New EP, 'UNRUHE'

Grimy, dark, and heavy, UNRUHE showcases where Screamarts is at today with a story of redemption told through the eyes of a wandering samurai producer.

Screamarts is back with his newest release, UNRUHE, landing on the unrestrained Eatbrain label. This three-track EP showcases the Austrian ronin producer’s forward-thinking style, as he pushes his music to the forefront of the genre by bridging screaming neurofunk with modern drum and bass.

The UNRUHE EP is raw and full of emotion, with each song featuring Screamarts’ ubiquitous sawtooth synths. The breakdowns are laced with melodic vocals, while aggressive, syncopated rhythms rattle the speakers as the songs undergo “Metamorphosis” into grime all over again.

As the EP moves to “Observe,” the energy becomes frenetic as he teams up with Scout 22. The overlay of female vocals breaks up the heaviness while still showcasing Screamarts’ signature sound. Finally, for the eponymous “Unruhe,” he slows the energy down and takes a more melodic route while the synths are back in full force.
