BUKU Music + Art Project joins forces with social impact platform, Propeller, to launch a new campaign ahead of its tenth-anniversary edition.

There’s no place like New Orleans, a city full of precious history and culture. Whether it’s the food, music, or people, you can feel the magic floating in the air. Soon, this heavenly city will be a hot spot for the tenth edition of the BUKU Music + Art Project on March 25 – 26. This festival is one of a kind. It’s one of the most diverse, inclusive festivals and the overall vibe screams cool, calm, and creative. Carrying that same vibe is the lineup, which is stacked with big names like Glass Animals, Alison Wonderland, Tyler, The Creator, Lane 8, Trippie Redd, and so many more.

Beyond music and art, BUKU is an advocate for social responsibility. They continue to encourage the community to roll up their sleeves and lend a hand which we need more of these days. This festival offers a variety of ways for folks to get involved, including their Take Action Project (TAP), which continues to raise awareness surrounding social and environmental issues. In addition, BUKU is a supporter and advocate for Upbeat Academy, a non-profit empowering youth via music education. This year, BUKU is teaming up with the social impact platform, Propeller, to engage attendees to take even more action the best they can.

Here’s how it works, attendees in the New Orleans area can take action online or volunteer in your local community. If and when you complete all the program requirements, you’ll be eligible to redeem one GA 2-Day pass or one VIP 2-Day pass with your points. Additional rewards include a poster and gift card for merchandise.

In order to qualify, you must enter the program and log your activism hours. You can head over to the official BUKU Take Action Project page for more details and the program ends on March 1 so hop on this as soon as possible. It’s refreshing to see a festival value social impact and give back to its surrounding communities. It’s also a fun way for folks to get involved and reap the rewards of their contribution. Every minute counts and thanks for giving back!

Raven doesn't discriminate when it comes to EDM. She's a lover of every genre, but RL Grime will forever hold the key to her heart and wallet. This LA native has been apart of the community since 2011 and has watched it grow like no other. She's excited about the new wave of talent turning up at events and strives to keep PLUR alive as new people join the community. Raven has a bad case of FOMO and spends too much money on festivals, so if you ever see her at a show—give her a hug, trade some kandi, and shuffle together.
